Asheboro, N.C. — With its recent acquisition of Ci Medical Technologies, Technimark, a global manufacturer of custom rigid plastic packaging and components, launched a separate medical division, Technimark Healthcare.
“The new division expands Technimark’s decade-old healthcare business by combining our global footprint, technical capabilities and financial resources with Ci Medical’s blue-chip customer base,” said Kris Peavy, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Technimark. “We were especially excited to add Ci Medical’s extensive experience in the healthcare market, including product development, scientific molding, contract manufacturing, assembly, packaging and logistics.”
Technimark serves customers worldwide from its 11 manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Peavy noted the company has prepared for rapid growth in its healthcare business over the past 18 months by doubling the size of its facilities in Germany and China as well as building new state-of-the-art facilities in Mexico and Asheboro, N.C. Operations at Technimark Healthcare facilities meet applicable ANSI and ISO standards and FDA regulations for the manufacture of medical products, including insulin pumps, surgical tools and other specialized devices.
“Since the acquisition six months ago, we’ve built a dedicated healthcare team that’s already providing added value to our customers by combining the individual strengths of Technimark and Ci Medical,” said Mr. Peavy.
The reception from both current and prospective customers has been universally positive, Mr. Peavy said, noting that client retention has been 100 percent. “Over its many years in business, Ci Medical built an enviable track record of success,” he said. “When we first began to explore the possibility of joining forces to build on that success, both organizations recognized immediately what a remarkable fit this would be.
